This was a pleasant surprise! This is a space monster vampire alien (?) romance. Which means A LOT was going on + knotting. However… somehow… it worked?
The Good
The writing and worldbuilding were good and I liked having a FL who was older. It is kind of enemies-to-lovers except our FL doesn’t know why she is the enemy.
The characters even the ‘villain’ weren’t one-dimensional and had a decent amount of depth.
This does have fated mates & is very insta-lusty. This can be hit-or-miss for me but I didn’t mind it in this book.
My personal favorites were the wings (this surprised me) and the ‘berserker’ aspect. I can’t say I’ve read a lot of space vampires, but I certainly haven’t read about a berserker space vampire before. It was refreshing to read an interesting take on a bingeable spicy romance.

The scared of thunderstorms thing was a bit cringey to get through, although the wings helped.
This author likes their nipples pebbled… very repetitive nipple pebbling going on in this book hahahah
The Why
My biggest issue with this book is that it all hinges on the MC wanting revenge. The seemingly richest man in the galaxy hatches an arranged marriage plot to get revenge. You have every resource in the galaxy at your disposable and you go through such a roundabout method?
Idk the original setup to me just didn’t feel believable. If I was a wealthy space vampire & needed revenge I would just do it? Not hatch a half-baked plan that doesn’t really accomplish what I want…
I guess that’s why I’m not a wealthy space vampire 😦
Worth the read?
Yes! I enjoyed this. I like my smut well written & this delivered.
