How far would you go to save your family? Don’t miss this new enemies-to-lovers(?) dark fantasy rom-com yuri manga! Clarice is of noble birth, but her father is choking on debts, and her sick sister needs treatment or she’ll die. There’s only one thing to do: marry the Dark Knight, a terrifying bestial warrior who always appears in armor. But could it be that, underneat the Dark Knight’s armor, she (!!) is really something very different?

Clarice’s younger sister is her whole world. In a world of monsters, born into a noble family that’s gone broke, there’s nothing Clarice wouldn’t do for her. So when she gets sick, and there’s only one way to save her, Clarice doesn’t blink! She agrees to an arranged marriage with the Dark Knight, a ferocious warrior who goes everywhere in magical armor—even their wedding!

Afterward, Clarice is ready to consummate the marriage and charm her new spouse into paying to save her sister’s life. There’s just one problem: The Dark Knight won’t let her into the bedroom! And Clarice finally finds out why…she’s secretly a woman! With female knights forbidden, the Knight seriously lacking in social graces, a household full of servants scared out of their wits, and monsters fights breaking out constantly, Clarice realizes that this wedding of convenience is going to be more inconvenient than she bargained for!

The Basics:

Art: 5/5

Characters: 4/5

Clarice is the star of the show and she is written in a way that’s hard not to love her. She’s funny, quick-witted, and competent. Where as the Dark Knight is only good for killing monsters.

The height difference ! I’m definitely curious to see how their relationship develops in the future.

Story/Plot: 4/5

I do love a silly story, and this one is definitely silly cute. It does have all the overdone fantasy manga tropes, but sometimes you just want a quick and fun read. & I did enjoy that Clarice actually has a good relationship with her family and they do care about her.

Overall, this is just the first volume and was a great intro into the world.

Writing/Dialouge: 5/5

Nicely done/translated!

Would I recommended?

Yes. It’s quick. It’s fun. It’s cute. & It’s not doomed! (IT BETTER NOT BE DOOMED!)

Extras:

Sweetness: 4/5

^points for Clarice only hahahah

Second-hand embarrassment: 0/5
