Webtoon Wednesday | Team Lezhin 2024 Season’s Greetings

I don’t have a specific webtoon today; I just wanted to talk about Lezhin’s 2024 calendar release…

So, Lezhin had their 2024 calendar and photocards merchandise drop today. I watched the timer run out and then decided I didn’t need to spend $50 on a calendar and photocards. Then I regretted my decision, and it sold out in like 5 minutes.

What dropped & why was I so indecisive?

Firstly, I tried to find better quality photos of the merchandise, but I couldn’t, not even on the official website.

Do I want the 2024 calendar? Yes. Will I ever use it? No, because it’s too pretty, and my husband doesn’t need to know my business.

선수촌 비하인드 수록 roughly means “behind the scenes of the athlete’s village.” Since it’s Olympics-themed, that’s mainly the reason I wanted to buy everything.

#2: 일러스트 엽서 14종

14 illustrated postcards: I wanted the Jake Gillan from Shutline sooo bad. It’s like they knew I missed the drop for the limited edition of the Shutline manhwa and were taunting me with postcards.

#3: 포토카드 15종

15 photocards: I mean just look at the opening ceremony ticket style photocards…

#4: 단체 포스터

The group poster. Again, do I want it? Yes, I want it so bad. Would I ever display it? No, I’d have to have it framed so no one would get their grimy fingerprints on it..

So, the price point (I’m in Korea) was, if I remember correctly, around 53,000 won, and on Lezhin, it also came with coins to use for reading online. However, on this site its listed at $68 (also sold out) which is way too expensive in my opinion. I should’ve bought it on Lezhin when I had the chance.

According to their Twitter account, they will be doing a second drop sometime in January, and they will provide more details later. I’m still not sure if I even want to get this, so I’ll decide after seeing when people get theirs, which is hopefully before the second drop.

Did anyone manage to get it?

To make myself feel better I ordered the special edition of Kill the Villainess & Eternal Covenant.

Update 11/13/2023

It looks like Lezhin is releasing a second batch tomorrow at 12:00pm (KST). However, for those outside Korea, ordering from the Korean Lezhin site seems almost impossible. It was really difficult for me to even set up a bank account and all that when I first got here.

However, KoonBooks looks like they will also be doing a drop specifically for those outside Korea. I have never ordered anything from them, so use at your own discretion..

Yalllllllllllllllll I didnt get it😭😭….I really tried

It wouldn’t let me copy and paste my address, so I had to manually input it in Korean. Since I’m a slow typer in Korean, it took me an extra minute. So, in total, it took me like 2 minutes to input everything, and then it said ‘transaction failed.’ It sold out in like 1 minute. I didn’t even want it that bad. Why am I so angry, lol?

Also, sadly Koonbooks didn’t get any stock either.
