I am currently open to ARCs; however, I may decline to read if I feel it’s not really my style.

Please only send me a review request if your book has undergone some form of editing. I love supporting indie and self-published authors, but unfortunately, a lot of simple errors in a book can really throw me out of the story. Of course, I understand that there may be a few mistakes in an ARC copy, but recently I’ve been receiving quite a few requests where it’s clear that there was no editing at all.

Also, please double check my rating system (listed below), as I’ve come to realize I might be a bit stingier with 5-star reviews than others.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Five stars are typically reserved for my absolute favorites. These are the best of the best, in my humble opinion.

⭐⭐⭐⭐

Four stars are still great reads but may have a few minor issues.

⭐⭐⭐

Three stars means it was still a good/enjoyable read, but had some obvious issues or just wasn’t my style.

⭐⭐

Two stars means I didn’t really like it but finished it, and was probably a bit glad it was over.

One star means I probably DNFed or hate-read the whole thing.

❤️ Hearts
For romance reads, I’ll sometimes use hearts instead of stars. This is for books that may not be 5-star reads but were exactly what I was in the mood for—like a mafia romance or other vibe reads. While it wasn’t a perfect 5-star book, it was a 5-star read in my heart~

Please feel free to reach out about non-ARC related things, such as collaborations, etc. I try to maintain this blog in a somewhat professional manner, but I also just love talking about books and making new nerdy friends. -ej
