I've been meaning to add more enemies-to-lovers books to my own tbr list, so I thought I would create a new blog post about it. I've included some popular choices, underrated gems, and ones that I've personally added to my TBR list
Book Review | The Name of the Wind
For something so iconic, I was at least expecting The Name of the Wind to do the wheel quite well. Maybe some chrome rims or a flashy spoke design. Instead, I found the MC deeply annoying, the women (few that there were) underdeveloped, the magic system derivative, and the conflict cookie-cutter.
July Wrap Up | 6 Books
Still 15 books ahead, thank the silly little romance novels I keep a steady diet of to stay sane amid the massive undertaking that is The Stormlight Archive.
Book Review | What Lies Beyond the Veil
First, I went into this book expecting nothing and got something?? Honestly, I tend to be critical in my reviews, but man they tore this one up on goodreads lol. Book Review | Fourth Wing | The Most-Hyped Book of the Year
Pride and Prejudice only has a 4.2. Lord of the Rings has a 4.4. A Court of Thorns and Roses, which is oft-compared to Fourth Wing (a comparison about which I have MANY opinions) has a 4.2. What in the world is up with all this hype for Fourth Wing??

Now I've found a series that does a lot of the same stuff Zodiac Academy does, just...better.
June Wrap Up | 10 Books
For my Storygraph reading goal this year, I went even more conservative than I was last year. And after a slump of zero books finished in March, I am now 15 books ahead of my goal. Is this partly due to not-so-great romance novels? Sure. But it's equally thanks to great series like Temeraire and, now, The Stormlight Archive.
May Wrap Up | 10 Books
An exciting month of reading despite the mediocre ratings. And so many dragons!
April Wrap Up | 5 Books
A couple big-brain books and a couple no-brain books. On balance, I'd say I used all the brain cells I had to spare this month.
