A steamy new BL one-shot about a businessman longing to reunite with his past lover–who wants nothing more than to put his own troubled past behind him.

Kanzaki is your typical businessman: He’s stoic, dependable, and respected by all of his subordinates. But he has a secret he can’t tell anyone: Five years ago, he became involved with a male sex worker named Nagi. The more nights they spent together, the more lust gave way to love, and Kanzaki hasn’t been able to get Nagi off his mind since. After being sent to work abroad, Kanzaki returns to Japan and meets one of his new subordinates–a young man named Futagami, who looks exactly like Nagi. As the part of Kanzaki’s past that was once frozen in time begins to thaw, can the two men find their way back toward each other, or will the passionate nights they spent together remain a thing of the past?

Art: 5/5

Characters: 5/5

Of course I wish we’d gotten more, but this is a oneshot. I really loved Kanzaki and Nagi, and I also found myself wanting to know more about Nagi’s friend.

Story/Plot: 4/5

Nagi is a former prostitute whom Kanzaki once fell in love with, though he eventually had to leave for work. At the time, they both had feelings for each other but were unsure whether those feelings were mutual.

They later reunite as coworkers, and Nagi has worked hard to put his past behind him, determined to move forward and leave that part of his life behind. Kanzaki, however, still loves him and wants a second chance…this time with the intention of building a real future together.

I’m usually not a huge fan of second-chance romances, but I really enjoyed this one. It’s very emotional. That said, I do wish it had been less centered on lust and that we’d gotten more background information on the characters and their relationship.

Writing/Dialouge: 5/5

I LOVED the writing in this. It was very miserable and very good. Idk you guys, maybe I’m going through something I don’t know about, because I am absolutely eating up all these miserable characters lately.

“I worked so hard to avoid being disliked… that soon enough nobody really liked me either.”

Extras:

Sweetness: 2/5

sweet in a angsty way? IDK

Spice: 4/5

I was going to give the spice a 3 and then I got to the bonus uncensored chapter at the end…

Second-hand Embarrassment: 0/5
