I’ve been circling around my attraction to guys for years, but never had the balls to do anything about it. Then I spot a gorgeous nursing student on campus, and suddenly I’m that creepy guy lurking outside lecture halls like a total stalker. Smooth, right?

When his douchebag boyfriend literally throws him at me in the campus haunted house, I finally get my shot. And damn if I’m not going to show Ethan exactly how a guy should be treated—like he’s something precious instead of something to hide.

Ethan

I’m so tired of being treated like I’m toxic waste in a rainbow wrapper. Done with guys who act like I’m contagious in public but can’t keep their hands off me behind closed doors. My breaking point? Getting thrown at a masked, baseball bat-wielding guy by my now-ex in a haunted house.

Turns out, under the mask is the hottest frat guy on campus, and he’s not looking to scare me.

Now I’m spending time in a house full of frat guys who actually seem to like having me around, with a guy who looks at me like I hung the moon and doesn’t give a damn who sees it.

Between meddling exes, interfering frat guys, and one very opinionated drag queen, can something that started on Halloween night survive past November?

Trick or Treat Nurse at My Feet is a laugh-out-loud, steam-filled mm college romance with an HEA and no cliffhangers. It features a tall, dark frat guy discovering his bisexuality, a sassy nursing student who’s done with everyone’s bullshit, and a house full of surprisingly supportive (and devastatingly hot) frat brothers. There’s haunted house meet-cutes, meddling frat guys, a protective drag queen, enough sexual tension to power the entire campus, and the kind of love that makes you question everything you thought you knew about yourself. This is book one in the Pacific Coast University series. Each book follows a different couple and their hilariously hot frat brother wingmen.

This review will be short since I only made it about 10% in.

I really wanted to love this! I was in the mood for a cozy, seasonal romcom, I even made tea and cracked open the ARC on October 1st, ready to dive in. Unfortunately, this one needed editing—developmental, line, all of it.

It’s a debut novel, and I do think there’s a solid story buried under the messiness, but it just didn’t come through for me. What was meant to be a laugh-out-loud romcom felt overdone. Comedy in books is tricky, and in this case, less would’ve been more. It felt like every single sentence was trying to land a ‘zinger’ (idk lol).

The prologue and first chapter could’ve been trimmed down a lot, and the humor would’ve been more effective if sprinkled throughout instead of stacked back-to-back.

I think this book has real potential, but it needed a bit more polish before publishing.
