Still 15 books ahead, thank the silly little romance novels I keep a steady diet of to stay sane amid the massive undertaking that is The Stormlight Archive.
The Stormlight Archive #2 & 3 by Brandon Sanderson

Okay, so I know I said The Way of Kings was propulsive and engaging, but since then—for the two 700-page volumes that make up one book, twice—I do think this series lost some of its paciness. And this is where I start to sound insane, because I don’t mind very much (I mind a little, though). I love just existing in this world—I’ve been reading a lot via audiobook. It’s the ultimate escapism. But this might also be Stockholm syndrome; I’ve listened to almost 150 hours of this series.
Boys of Bellerose #1-4

A lovely silly little romance. It’s not the best written, but I honestly have to give it to the authors on the plot. This is not what the kids call pwp—though the romance is spicy as anything. I did cringe every time anyone’s appearance was described, and I willingly ignored those descriptions in favor of characters I made up in my own mind. But that’s the cool thing about books—you can just do that.
